When this project began I immediately consider the partnership aspect of it. I was excited with the potential of my partner Chelsea Roberts. The caliber of work she consistently produces was an immediate boost of confidence. I had hopes of utilizing her attention to detail to compliment my general handimanship.

We both quickly agreed to continue her previous exploration into small-scale habitations. The assignment prompt included several words including neutral and forgotten. After a short time we decided upon placing a flotilla in the pond. the idea of a monochromatic palette was in effort to emphasize the fine art aspect of the work to the viewer by recalling the white of most gallery and museum space. Additionally it contrasted well with its environment. An unsuspected audience appeared in the form of timid fish and curious little pond turtles. They were, however, unversed in gallery decorm and began to interact with the work. In all it was, though unforeseen, an immensely satisfying result.
